The aim of this lesson is to introduce the user to the main functions
of the software.

CREATE
A NEW PROJECT
1. Enter
in the Project menu> New
2. In the New Project window set 800x600 pixel resolution,
click on “Load Image” and select in C:/Programs/3DGeniuX/Tutorials/006/
photo.jpg 3. Click on “Create”
NOTE: Lessons are located in the main folder where 3D GeniuX
is installed, usually in C:/Programs/3DGeniuX/Tutorials
START
THE 3D REDECORATION
1. Select
from the Model Libraries rollout >Primitives> Plane
2. In the Object Position rollout insert
the values as shown in the picture below, completely covering the photo.
3. From
the Properties menu, select “Load texture” and
chose the file C:/Programs/3DGeniuX/Tutorials/006/muro.jpg
4. From the Properties
menu, select U= 3, V=3
CREATE
MASK
1. From
the tools bar click on Enable mask ,
and from the Mask rollout click
on “Create mask”. The 3D flat surface disappears
because the mask has completely covered it.
2. Form
Mask rollout set the brush Dimension and Transparency as
shown in the picture.
3. Click
on Mask Line and
with the LEFT button of the mouse start drawing the window’s
perimeter. We outline the polygon in blue. You will notice
that while you continue with the drawing, the part of the
photo that has been enclosed inside the polygon will now
be in the background relative to the 3D object.
4. Click
on Fill up Mask and
using the LEFT button of the mouse, click inside the polygonal area
you have previously drawn. This command will fill up the internal
area, bringing a part of the 3D surface to the foreground.
5. From
Model Libraries select>Primitives>Cube
6. Insert
the values as shown in the image below in the “Object
Position” rollout. The 3D cube that you have created
is slightly above the 3D plane and is partially invisible
due to the mask prviously created
You
can use the tools Move ,
Rotate and
Scale on
the 3D Cube to adjust it and better understand how this
little trick works.

From the Properties menu select “Load Texture” and select
C:/Programs/3DGeniuX/Tutorials/006/texture.jpg
8. Select
fromi >Primitives>Cubo
9. In
the "Object Position" rollout insert the valus as shown in the
image below.
Use
Move ,
Rotate and
Scale to
move the 3D Cube and easily understand the scene.

From "Property" window>"Load Texture" and
load C:/Programs/3DGeniuX/Tutorials/006/texture.jpg
11.
Fro menu Modify>Copy, after Modify>Paste.
Move the new object with the values shown below.
