Lezione 003 - Palazzo

The aim of this lesson is to introduce the user to the main functions of the software.
Subjects: background image, manipulating a 3D object, mask functioning.

CREATE A NEW PROJECT 

   1.   Enter in the Project menu> New

   2.   In the New Project window set 800x600 pixel resolution, click on “Load Image” and select C:/Programs/3DGeniuX/Tutorials/003/Building.jpg

   3.   Click on “Create”

  
NOTE: Lessons are located in the main folder where 3D GeniuX is installed, usually in C:/Programs/3DGeniuX/Tutorials

LOAD A 3D OBJECT
    1.   Enter the Project menu>Import>File X and select in C:/Programs/3DGeniuX/Tutorials/003/Building.x
Click on "Open"

  2.   Click on icon to limit manipulation on Y axis, then click on Rotate and rotate the building on Y axis.
Scale a and from Object Position rollout insert Re-Scale %=20.753.
Select Move and to move the object without any axes limit.


   3.   In the Object Position rollout you will finally have the values as shown in the picture.

DRAW MASK
  1.    From the tool bar click on Activate mask and Visualize mask

  2.    From Mask rollout set brush Dimension and brush Transparency as shown in the picture

   3. Click on Brush Mask and with the LEFT button of the mouse, start brushing the picture. The white colour that will appear defines the area in the image where the 3D building will be completely hidden.
   4. Deselect See Mask to see the result of the brush strokes.
   5. Click on Mask rollout and set brush Dimension and transparency as shown in the picture, to define smaller details.
