Properties window
The properties menu shows the characteristics of a selected object.

1- The first field, here in red, shows the name of the object.
2- The second field, here in blue, shows the various parts that constitute the object.
3- 1-The third field, here in green, shows the materials.

There is a arrow on the left of a selected object ->

It is possible to modify a text field by clicking it with the LEFT mouse button and writing the new name.

RGB
Diffused colour of the material. Colour adds up to the texture of the chosen material.
If the colour is white, (RYB 255, 255, 255), the texture will remain unchanged.

RGB 255, 255, 255
RGB red for the cube, green for the cylinder

A
Alpha Value or Transparency
Transparency material. This slider have not effect if you use
Load Texture Transparency button.


A = 255
A = 70

P
Specular Highlights.
0 = no specular highlights (i.e. paper)
Min Value = big area of specular highlights (i.e. water, glass)
Max Value = small area of specular highlights (i.e. metals)

P = 0
P = 12

Specular Highlights
Typical specular highlights effect. In this menu it is possible to choose some pre-defined, highlights effects typical of some materials (water, wood, marble, metal, stone, plastic, fabric)

Map
Activates visualization of the texture.

UV
UV Tiles.
U=1 V=1

Load Texture
Load an image to be used as a texture. 3D GeniuX supports BMP - JPG - JPEG – PNG files (with alpha channel support).

PROCEEDING: delete a loaded texture
METHOD 1: Select an object on which a texture has been applied, from “Properties” menu select “Load Texture”, from the loading window select “Undo” without selecting any image. The old texture will be deleted.
METHOD 2: Disable the “Map” box.

Modify Texture
Visualizes and Modifies the loaded texture.

Load Texture Transparency
With this technique we can easily draw maps of gratings, nets etc.
The black colour makes the selected parts completely invisible, grey is partially transparent, and white is completely opaque.
Using this command, you will disable completely the value set into slider A (Alpha Value)
Please Note: loading a new image in “Load Texture” will disable automatically the loading of the map already existing in “Load Texture Transparency”
